Getting the ship in a format suitable for the Egosoft Blender tools Creating a copy of a existing ship, renameing it and adding it to a shipyard If a reference is with a capital C while the file it refers to is with a lower case one it will cause the mod to not work. Only use capital letters in the t files for naming ingame and the. Please ALWAYS use lower case letters when naming files. If you are willing to write part of the tutorial please contact me via PM or in Discord. This will be a work in progress and i cant promise ill ever finish it, so contributions are welcome. It seems i cant put pictures directly into the post anymore. If u know im talking bullcrap about something u can correct me and if i can verify that i was wrong ill change/add/remove that. Please keep in mind that everything i say here is the result of try and error and a lot is unclear to me so some things i say are wild guesses. Just set it to 1.Ill try to create a complete walkthrough to creat an S sized ship that fully works with 6.0 upwards. This stat honestly doesn't matter because crewmates scale to your level. Levels: levels can be a number from 1 to 6. Normally you have to farm quests in villages to get crewmembers which is totally doable, but if you're impatient here's a little bonus for you!įarming for crewmembers to upgrade your ship sucks, so as a bonus section here's how to do that as well!Ĭhemist: "crewmemberchemistyellow" OR "crewmemberchemistorange" OR "crewmemberchemistblue" OR "crewmemberchemistgreen"ĭifferent colors give different effects! Yellow = glowing, Orange = damage boost, Blue = jump boost, Green = speed. If you're going to do this, I'd reccomend spawning in one crewmate per non-hostile village you find, and of the race of that village (Ex: You find a friendly floran village. Then head on over to the "sword" section of the avil and craft an: Iron Assault Rifle, and Iron Broadsword.Ĭongrats! You've now got all the gear you'll need to explore the basic planets of Starbound.ĭisclaimer: Not only is this section is totally optional, but it's a little cheat-ey too. Scroll down (or just search) for the: Scouter's Visor, Scouter's Chestguard, and Scouter's Greaves. You will have to build a "shelf" ( like this ) to put down the extra crafting stations. Once you've done all that place them down inside your ship. This includes: Anvil, Foraging Table, Primitive Furnace, Spinning Wheel, and Wooden Workbench. If your mouse is near the edge of the screen, it'll spawn it there.Ĭraft every crafting station available to you in the non-upgraded inventor's table. Type "/spawnitem logblock 100" and make sure your mouse is right next to your character. ![]() Then, hit "c" and open your crafting menu.Ĭraft an inventor's table (right at the top and place it on your ship. Let's get all that loot, the fast way!įirst, make sure you're still in admin mode so you can spawn in items. You did not do that if you followed the instructions earlier. ![]() In order to get to the point where you can explore, you're supposed to have crafted a bunch of items and armor to survive. And it only took, what, 5 minutes? It would've taken you over twenty times that long if you'd have done it the normal way! Type "/completequest outpostclue"įinally, talk to Esther one more time to accept the first exploration quest.Īnd, done! You've completed all the quests to get started. Walk back to Esther, and interact with her twice to get the next quest. Then head back to the left and talk to penguin pete (the ship guy next to the penguins, inbetween the teleshop and big dark area) it should pop up "mission obtained." Type "/completequest human_mission1" (skips the erchius mining facility) Head to Esther (she's all the way to the right of the outpost) and accept her quest. Make sure you go to the teleport shop and save the teleporter so you can come back.) Don't teleport back to your ship. Then, type "/warp instanceworld:outpost" and press e on your teleporter (teleports you to the outpost, the hubworld for the game. Next, type "/completequest gaterepair" (this skips the first quest where you have to go to the planet.) This will give you the ability to skip quests! You will be doing this a lot.įirst, type in "/admin" exactly as shown in the quotation marks. Open up your chat by pressing the enter key on your keyboard. Fixing your ship takes absolutley forever, and requires multiple quests, dungeons, and a lot of time.
